Respectfully Seeking Advice from Teachers on a Flower Money which i just bought

Dear teachers,

I am from Singapore. I have been collecting Qing Dynasty's copper dragon coins for a few years. I stumbled upon Shouxi this year and ahve been dilligently learning from your postings. From past flower money sharings, i have since developed an interest in it.

I just bought one flower money 2 days ago and would like to seek teachers' advices on its authenicity and historical meaning. My sincere thanks in advance.

flower money in English is called charm, which has implication of good luck or prosperity or simply protection from devil for one who carries.

the one shown above can be seen in western market quite often

it is crude and most likely made by primitive casting. It could be made in era of Republic of China in either China or western countres. it targets mostly wesrtern customers. China money or charm was very popular at that time in western country so there was a market for things like things like this. this kind of charms were not carefully casted. it doent appears nice looking and is different from the real charm casted in china for native Chinese customers. it has some values but not as much as real things.
