The charm of coin collection is the culture and artistic value from small coins. The artistic value is from aesthetics, which consists of material, design and craftwork. The culture value consists more features such as history background, currency system, measuring system, circulation channels. No matter which one is mentioned, it is the core of the coin collection.

錢幣收藏的最大魅力，在于其方寸之間所蘊涵的文化與藝術價值。錢幣的藝術價值來自于藝術審美，從材質、設計以及工藝等不同方面，可彰顯錢幣的藝術之美。而錢幣的文化價值則包含更多，比如錢幣鑄造、發行所處時代的曆史背景、貨幣體系、度量衡制度、流通渠道等。無論是錢幣的文化與藝術價值，都是錢幣收藏的內核與源泉。

Recently, the popularity of coin collection drives the value of coin collection, especially the culture value, which is a significant extension. For example, old Chinese private bank as the channel of economic circulation has became the focus of collectors because of its relationship with coin. Among these collectors, Mr.Huang Sheng Bo from Zhejiang Province is a top player on the old Chinese private bank series.

近年來，隨著錢幣收藏的普及與盛行，錢幣價值也在被進一步挖掘，尤其是文化價值，正在成爲錢幣收藏的一個重要外延。以流通渠道爲例，錢莊作爲錢幣在經濟流通的渠道和節點，因其與錢幣的緊密關聯，錢莊的相關物件也成爲資深藏家關注的焦點。浙江藏家黃聲波通過他的錢莊系列收藏，向我們展示了這個獨特收藏的無窮魅力。

1. A Quiet and Exquisite "Fatty Huang"

壹、錢幣界溫和細膩的“黃胖子”

At the end of June, Nirat the Director of Asian Operations of SBP, Ping and I were going to Yiwu to attend the opening ceremony of "Yi" Art Gallery. The next day, we were invited by Mr.Huang to go to his own collection store, "Quan Bi She" located at Yiwu International Trade Market. However, this place is not for trading, it is for showing his collection.

6月底，正值北京2017春拍結束之際，與SBP亞洲業務總監Nirat與Ping一起前往義烏。在24日參加“YI美術館”開館預覽之後，第二天便應黃聲波之邀，前往他在義烏國際商貿城和收藏品市場的兩間個人收藏館——“泉幣社”坐一坐。用黃聲波的話來說，“我開這兩家門店不是爲了交易和買賣，而是一個純粹展示個人錢幣藏品的窗口。”

Yiwu International Trade Market is the core of Yiwu Economy. The shopkeepers here are all able to speak English, and we can see many kinds of people who speak different languages and from different races. Moreover, from this place, people can find any necessity that they want and also these goods are export. The folks guided us said, if you spend only 1 minute in each store, it will take you a year to shop the whole market. "Quan Bi She" is lying here, which is keeping quiet in a noisy neighborhood, as his owner's character.

把國際商貿城說成是義烏經濟發展的心髒，毫不爲過，這裏的店家都能說上幾句外語，你能見到各種膚色和語言的人們，你能想到的各種生活日用品，在這裏都可以找到，當然也在銷往全球。帶領我們前往“泉幣社”朋友介紹說，要是每家門店逛1分鍾，逛完整個商貿城需要1年多的時間。而黃聲波的商貿城“泉幣社”就在這裏，鬧中取靜。

When stepped into "Quan Bi She", I felt everything becoming slow. The table and chairs made with Dalbergia cochinchinensis Pierre are fastidious, and the display cases are uniform filled with coins, sycees and sundries ornamented by some plants. Many of them are from Mr.Huang's own work. There are a lot of rare steles on the wall written by different masters.

一走進商貿城5樓的“泉幣社”，時間一下子慢了下來，滿眼的大紅酸枝木桌椅十分考究，貼牆而立的展示櫃整齊劃一，銀元、銀錠、雜項擺設錯落有致，點綴其間的各種綠植，很多來自于黃聲波自己的手藝，這也讓收藏味道濃郁的“泉幣社”多了很多生氣。懸挂滿屋的“泉幣社”匾額來自不同名家手筆，黃聲波說，每一幅都來之不易。

I don't know since when, the Kung Fu Tea from Guangdong and Fujian becomes popular in Zhejiang. In the last decade, Mr.Huang was collecting a variety of tea. According to the guests, he makes the different kinds for them. Even the bronze teacups are designed by Mr.Huang. The cups have been toned into polychrome by tea stains. The diversification of border shows Mr.Huang's taste.

不知什麽時候開始，來自廣東、福建的功夫茶也在浙江盛行起來，過去十年多，黃聲波不間斷收藏了各種各樣的茶葉，根據不同客人的喜好，他會衝泡不同的茶葉。甚至連盛放茶杯的銅茶盞，都是黃聲波自己設計制作的，在茶漬的侵染下，已經生成了彩色的包漿。茶盞腰線的變化，則看出了他對細節的看重，以及自己的審美要求。

I know Mr.Huang long time ago, and I always see him at every big auction live. Although his shape gives him a nickname "Fatty Huang", he is a very kind and honest person with smile all the time. Through the communication, I find he is a quiet person, who also has exquisite taste.

認識黃聲波其實已久，幾乎在各大拍賣會現場都能看到他的身影，因爲高大微胖的體型，他也被泉界好友稱爲“黃胖子”。接觸久了後，你會發現這位外表粗犷、滿臉笑意的浙江人，其實並沒有外地人認爲浙商的那種精明和銳氣。通過交談和一些細節，你也會發現，心性溫和、寬厚的黃聲波，在面對他的收藏品時，又是那樣的細膩和極具品位。

2. Splasher "Coin Addict Huang"

貳、不計成本玩收藏的“錢幣癡”

In 1994, Mr.Huang moved to Yiwu from Pujiang. After 5 years effort, he got a sum of money and decided to set up a booth at commodity market to sell padlocks. Every Saturday, when he got on the way to Beicun road, he would pass by an antique market. Gradually, he started to have interested in the silver dollars. At that time, once delivery of padlocks can give him 500 yuan income, and the silver dollars price were 55 yuan. Eventually, Mr.Huang spent 110 yuan purchasing two Yuan Shihkai silver coins of the Republic of China.

1994年，黃聲波從浦江老家來到了義烏。再打拼5年攢下一筆資金後，他與一名甯波朋友合夥在小商品市場擺攤批發挂鎖。每周六送貨去貝村路，他都會路過古玩集市。幾次之後，他就漸漸對地攤上賣的銀元産生了興趣。那時，送一趟貨可以賺500多元，地攤上的銀元55元一枚。終于有一天，黃聲波花了110元錢買了兩枚“袁大頭”。

From then, Mr.Huang starts his coin collection career. After a few months, he learned knowledge of the coins from books and purchased a Qing Dynasty Dragon Silver Coin with 170 yuan. In those days, the price of silver coins was increasing all the time, and he bought 1-2 pieces every weekend. Subsequently, the market cannot meet his needs of collection. Therefore, since 2008, he went to Beijing to attend the auction of Guardian and Chengxuan, and since 2009, he started to go to the auctions happened in Hong Kong at April and August every year.

此後，黃聲波一發不可收拾。幾個月後，他通過書籍了解銀元的相關知識，又購入170元一枚的“龍洋”。市場上銀元的價格一路看漲，而他每周六都會買上一兩枚。後來，地攤市場漸漸無法滿足他的收藏需要。2008年開始，他開始前往北京參加嘉德、誠軒等拍賣，從2009年開始，每年4月、8月參加香港的錢幣拍賣會……

The frequency of participation brought so many experiences to Mr. Huang and leads his collection to reach a very high level. The 50 tael sycees from his collections are all original status, which are commented by himself as "buy one high level goods rather than buy many. Amongst these sycees, the one of Kulun 50 teal from Qing Dynasty purchased from Poly in 2011 fall, cost 1.15 million yuan, is his favorite.

如此頻繁的參加的拍賣會，黃聲波的收藏經驗越來越豐富，藏品的數量與質量也達到了一定水准。他收藏的五十兩銀錠中，均是原味、原光、全品的狀態，用他的話說，“能夠達到收藏水准的東西，買很多不如買一個”。其中2011年保利秋拍所獲的大清銀行庫倫五十兩銀錠，盡管115萬的代價不菲，但至今仍是他的最愛。

Because of his attendance, Mr.Huang has gotten acquainted with many coin collectors as friends and accompanied them to seek more coins. For this purpose, Mr.Huang has travelled almost all provinces of China except for Hainan. The deepest impression is that he and his friend flight to Gansu province and bought 34 silver dollars stuck with double "Xi" red paper which means there were a wedding decades ago.

也因爲出場率高，黃聲波也結識了不少收藏錢幣的朋友，並經常與一幫朋友到全國各地搜集錢幣。爲此，黃聲波幾乎跑遍了中國大多數省份，他說：“除了海南，全國各省基本跑遍了。”印象最深的一次，2014年黃聲波和朋友一起飛到甘肅，買到了一戶人家幾十年前辦喜事的34枚銀元，都貼著雙喜紅紙，他都視若寶貝。

The business of padlocks brought a big wealth to Mr.Huang. However, Mr.Huang spends money on coins instead of properties and vehicles. Sometimes the cost of travel to the auction impacts his business, but he didn't care about it because he found the happiness and joy from coin collection which is invaluable.

黃聲波的鎖具生意一直做得不錯，但每年賺來的錢既不買房，也不買車，大部分全都用在了購買錢幣上。甚至有時候，因爲去外地購買錢幣或參加拍賣，不但差旅的花費很大，還耽誤正常做生意的時間。但黃聲波對此毫不在意，因爲在他看到，買到了喜歡的錢幣所帶來的那種快樂，是其他東西根本帶來不了的，代價再大也值得。

3. Old Chinese Private Bank Exalts Culture Solemnity

叁、錢莊系列收藏提升文化厚重感

I experienced Mr. Huang's collection at "Quan Bi She", but the deeper impression for me is his method of colletion, which is extremely hard to have. From the details and entire layout, I found Mr.Huang's taste is exquisite. I believe these are interrelated with his reading.

在黃聲波國際商貿城和收藏品市場個人藏館中，我見識了他多年來的錢幣、銀錠和雜項的收藏，但體會更深的是他收藏理念的體系與細節，這在錢幣圈極爲難得。從個人藏館的整體布局與細節搭配，錯落有致卻又井井有條，可以看出黃聲波獨特而細膩的審美與品位。相信這也與他收藏錢幣的過程中，用心研讀相關書籍來增加知識密不可分。

In fact, Mr.Huang started to be addict to coin collection since 1998. In the recent 20 years, he purchased a lot of things, and the more important is his method of collection is gruadually changing. His collections are from coins to the items related to the coins. The deepest impression of his collection is not an individual stuff, but his entire series of old Chinese private bank such as Data plate, measuring tool, auncel, teststone and so on, everything about coins.

事實上，黃聲波從1998年開始接觸銀元後，一發不可收。近20年來，不僅收獲了許多精美的藏品，他對于收藏的理解也在慢慢發生變化，收藏的寬度也從錢幣本身，擴展到了錢幣收藏的相關。在他的諸多藏品中，我印象最深的不是某一枚或錠子，而是他完整的錢莊系列收藏，從銘牌到量器，從天秤到驗銀石…… 一切與錢緊密相關物件。

Old Chinese Private Bank was an early fiduciary institution, mainly distributed at Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou and so on. At Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, Jinan, Guangzhou, the bank was called "Yin Hao". At Hankou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xuzhou, the place has the same position with Public Bank. At the early time, the private banks were always operated by sole proprietorship or joint venture. The large bank has serivce of deposit, loan, exchange, and so on while the small one only has exchange service.

錢莊是早期的一種信用機構，主要分布在上海、南京、杭州、甯波、福州等地。在北京、天津、沈陽、濟南、廣州等地的則稱爲銀號，性質與錢莊相同。在漢口、重慶、成都、徐州等地錢莊與銀行並稱。早期的錢莊大多爲獨資或合夥，較大的錢莊除辦理存款、貸款外，還可發莊票，銀錢票，憑票兌換貨幣，而小錢莊則僅僅從事兌換業務。

Mr.Huang's Private Bank Series reappear the stucture and process of private bank. First of all, the brand plate on the gate was used to know the business. The silver dollars or sycees tested by teststones would be struck with a stamp of the bank, and then after the measuring, they would be moved to a container waiting for storage. The copper cash and fractional coins were laid on the trays for money exchange.

黃聲波的錢莊系列收藏則重現了錢莊的基本結構和流程，錢莊門口的銘牌用來提示和招攬業務，客人的銀元經過驗銀石校驗後，順便打上自己錢莊的硬戳或墨戳，經過稱重後的銀元或錠子，則被統一收入到鬥中，等著被運進儲藏室。而零碎的銅錢、銀元等，則可以放在石匣中或木質的托盤上，以面對客人兌換與找零等需求。

The series of different items from bank draw a dramatic and busy painting. Under this condition, the collection can give more than we want including finance，economy and humanity. The collection method is higher than its own, implying highly solemn culture, which corrects and adds more to the collector's taste.

不同的錢莊物件，串聯在一起後，就會輕易浮現出一幅錢莊生動而忙碌的畫面，這樣的收藏更具質感，除了藏品本身的收藏價值外，還對我們了解、研究當時的金融、經濟生活有很高的研究價值。這樣的收藏品位已經出離于錢幣，而又高于錢幣，蘊涵更加厚重的文化韻味，對于藏家的個人品位與審美，又會有很大的修正與補充。

Every person who steps into Mr.Huang's store must be excited. Some of them wonder at the decoration, some wonder at the quality of collections, some wonder at his virtue. For himself, he prefers to appreciate the silver dollars rather than smoke and drink when he is upset. This is what he wants to get from the collection that gives him inner peace.

踏進黃聲波個人藏館的人，總會發出各種不同的驚歎聲，有人驚歎于裝修與擺設，有人驚歎于藏品的品質，也有人驚歎于他粗犷外表下的玲珑心。而對黃聲波自己來說，不抽煙、不喝酒，“心煩的時候，把銀元拿出來看看、摸摸，心情就會很好。”也許追求內心的平和，這種慢節奏的平凡而淡定的收藏哲學，才是收藏的真谛與境界。
