This interesting piece is an encased Chinese cast coin光绪通宝 from Qing dynasty. The case is made of aluminum with store name (The Foo Lung Company-Chinese Novelty Store) and address (384 Erie St.) inscribed. The store was likely owned by a Chinese immigrant and this piece was truck for advertising purpose. Unfortunately, without State and city information, a search of the street address failed to provide any useful clue. Thus, the detailed info of the issuer still remains a mystery.
